Solskin Gómez-Krogh has been empowering Latine businesses and the community for the past 25 years. She currently serves as the Senior Program Manager for the United Neighborhoods Organization (UNO), where she leads the development and execution of a mentorship and career exposure program for young Latina and Black women. Before joining UNO, Gómez-Krogh was the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Lead at The Society of Actuaries (SOA). She was recognized for her leadership when she was named one of the 2015 New Wave of Chicago leaders by Latino Leaders Magazine and identified as a Top 100 under 50 Emerging Leaders in 2011 by Diversity MBA Magazine.
Prior to her role at the SOA, she was the diversity outreach manager for the Illinois CPA Society. She also served as interim Executive Director at UNO and the Executive Director for the Association for Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) in Chicago, where she supported the success of Latino professionals, business owners, and their career advancement. In 2015, Gomez-Krogh helped launch and manage the Diversity, Equity Inclusion Coaching Center at the Forum on Workplace Inclusion.
Gómez-Krogh earned her MBA from DePaul and BS as a double major in anthropology and international studies from Iowa State University. She is active in her community and has led Forest Park’s and advised Oak Park’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations. An immigrant herself, she is passionate about helping organizations become workplaces where members feel welcomed, valued, respected, and heard. She speaks three languages and enjoys reading, listening to educational podcasts, and learning to play the guitar.
