RunHer

MPowering Girls to go the Distance

Guided by mental health counselors, professionals from the community and a local running club, the girls will strengthen their mental and physical health through mentorship, walking, and running activities, ultimately culminating in the completion of our Carrera de los Muertos 5K run.

La Carrera de los Muertos

It’s the most uniquely fun and colorful 5K in town!

La Carrera de los Muertos/Race of the Dead was conceived with the mission to showcase Pilsen neighborhood’s vibrant culture and pride, as we celebrate the special tradition of El Dia de los Muertos. Whether you’d like to walk or run to honor your friends/family who have passed on, or simply enjoy a memorable 5K that takes you through a nationally-recognized neighborhood—full of Latin music, art and traditions—this race is for you!

Proud Partner with ABC Pilsen Girl’s Summer Basketball League

We partner with ABC Pilsen to address teenage girls' sports participation disparities. Girls drop out at double the rate of boys by age 14, creating 1.3 million fewer high school sports opportunities. Girls of color face unequal access, despite the benefits of sports on career readiness. Our goal is to empower girls through strategic initiatives.
